We were wondering. . . why do you read this blog?

This entry is Part 1 of 2 in the series The Battle Is The LORD's
Table Of Contents:

So, why is it really that you read this blog?

Is it just because you’re curious?  Is it fascinating to read and hear about moves of God beyond our experience?  Sure!  But we really hope you read it because you are conscious of the fact that when you were born again, you were born into a battle!  I hope it is because you have put on the armour, intentionally joined the fight, and are praying in faith believing God for the harvest and all that is needed to accomplish the LORD’s purpose and plan! The battle is a real one.  It is for the eternal souls of men and women, just like you–just like me. Are you in it?

battles_tIf you have been following this blog, you know that Evangelist Mike Redick and the team are right now winning thousands in the Philippines!  You may know that all over SE Asia we are seeing answers to prayer and many saved!  All of this great victory did not come without a cost nor did it come without a fight!  You may also know that the LORD has opened what we believe to be the biggest door EVER for us in a largely unreached restricted access nation-RAN–the way in being a clear answer to years of prayer!  However, it is a dark place, a centre for black magic and demon worship—held in bondage for centuries by an uncompromising enemy who will not gently fade into the sunset…

Last week Evangelist Mike’s wife (who happens to be spear-heading the new RAN work) was recovering from H1N1 and praising the LORD for allowing this for His purpose.  On Friday night, while Ev. Mike was in the Philippines, she was home in “practically crime-free Singapore.”  Four men were recorded on CCTV trying to break into their flat while they knew she was inside sleeping alone. They got the door open about 4 inches and partially removed the last bolt, but were stopped “somehow.”  This is disturbing for many obvious reasons.

The SMCI crusade has been assailed by anti-Christian politicians, school authorities and police, by equipment failure, transportation delays, weather.  Blow outs, unexplained electronic failures, bizarre weather, sudden severe illness, fatigue, assault.  All of these methods and more are employed by our ever vigilant enemy.

In the many combined years of service represented on this blog, we have seen faithful workers enticed sin– trapped and ruined.  We have seen governments murder faithful Christians with starvation and abuse.  We have been baffled by unexplained incomplete communications, pride, complacency and personal kingdom building.  Worse, we have been stopped in our tracks by “issues” raised to a false level of importance, even alongside the Gospel.  All of these efforts–tools in the hand of the true enemy.  You may not think about him, but he knows about you!

This is not just a set of unrelated circumstances! We are in a battle—and we are on the victory side! That’s why He gave us the armour-to win!  The reality is, if you are not deliberately participating, you are a potential liability.  None of us intentionally wants to be a tool of the enemy, but sadly that does not mean many of us are not carelessly just that. Not walking in victory, not actively in the battle—that Christian appears to be adhering to just another powerless religion instead of living in the reality of the victory found in being buried and raised with Christ—the living SAVIOUR of the world!

We want to ask you to get into the battle! To start by praying now!  There is certainly enough information for you to begin right here in this post and throughout this blog.  If have trusted Christ, there is a place for you in God’s plan to reach the world.  Please, please don’t leave your post empty.

The shock of everything is now starting to sink in and the dust is starting to settle some.

The ultrasound specialist, after much trying, was finally able to see some of our unborn baby’s face and mouth and confirmed the cleft lip which is on the right side. She also said that she saw a gap in the hard palate which is the front of the mouth. It is… Read More....

There was the old grandma who was being cared for by her daughter and son. One day as I was reading my Bible, the daughter asked me about it and I told her what I was reading. She was excited and told me that she had one too and was a part of God’s family. I knew there was something different about her. She took such gentle care of her… Read More....

A few months ago I was thinking to myself, “I don’t have any real China stories.” A ‘China’ story is the kind that can only happen to you in China (of course) but really sets your time here apart from anything else you’ve experienced in your life; it’s something that you think, “I’ve never experienced anything like this!” and somehow it changes you. Well, it finally happened. After two years… Read More....

    FAITH is the Victory– Jesus is the Victor.

    We bring the whole armour of Christ given to us. I am a part of the cause of the VICTOR. The reports and sharing in this site lead me to pray more and see the fact that the Holy Spirit is mightily at work and we need more workers to obey the call and do His work while at the same time trusting God to protect us from the snares of the enemy. May more followers of Christ give their lives for His cause.

    Dear Friends,
    I read this blog for the following reasons:

    1. It strenghtens my faith in a living God and what He is doing in Asia;
    2. Informative;
    3. Learning;
    4. What to pray for;
    5. Networking [sending it to the body of Christ in South Africa]

    I am seeking a full understanding of this war. Your presentation is agreeable to my understanding and increases my faith. The reality of all this often seems like a fantasy to beginners. Many sermons and lessons I have heard seemed lacking in substance and confirmation and most often, for me, leave the fullness of truth in the shade. While I believe that God will miraculously enlighten when He deems appropriate, my personal understanding seems to have been regulated by my dedication, determination, commitment and experience up to where I am currently. I feel certain my passionate seeking and personal experience has moved me to a better place in the understanding of truth. I believe the deceiver is so sophisticated, masterful, substantial, relentless and determined that we cannot allow ourselves to feel qualified enough to make a 100% absolute judgment of ANYTHING AT ALL with only our eyes and ears. My most recent understanding is that we must allow God to open our spiritual awareness and guide us 24/7. We must also be one with God and allow him to be the authority in the relationship without compromise. I’ve heard this sermon for years but I believe my understanding is most recently blossoming exponentially and harmoniously proportional with my consuming passion to know and serve God. Experience is the answer to understanding and in this reality experience has been confusing and painful and well as wonderful and rewarding. My God given authority over the forces of darkness is increasing daily. The Lord’s Prayer is very important and very powerful and we should say it every time we pray. God bless you. I join you in God’s Army.
