    The Christians in China campuses

This entry is Part 1 of 4 in the series Missionaries Testimonies
    Table Of Contents:

Brother P graduated from a well-known university in China as a post-grad and was offered a high-paid job in an MNC in a very well-established industry. His family and relatives back in the small village were certainly very proud of his achievement. He is probably the only 1st post grad in their village. Their lives have been very hard. Sending P to school was extremely difficult.

Just when they thought P was going to make money to support the family and bring much “fame” and “glory” to all in the village, P decided to serve the Lord full-time. That means: he has no job title;  no organisation / company / brand name whom he belongs to; “most of all,” he has no money!

His dad was devastated. He drank more alcohol and would call P up to verbally abuse him often. If they weren’t far away from each other by distance, he would beat his son to death. He wanted to end his life because his son, who was supposed to be his pride, is now his shame.

Most of us will not be able to understand this kind of pressure. It is very common in this mission field amongst the Christians in the campuses. These are the young generation whom parents adore, groom, and protect. They are the future, jewels, rulers, and hope. When their parents and relatives find out about their new faith, it is usually persecution that follows.

Firstly, to be a Christian is deemed as “no future.” Secondly, their social network is deemed as “no power.” They have limited career or marriage choices because of their faith and desire to follow Christ. But they have joy and peace that passes understanding. They serve fervently and love the Lord with all their heart, soul and mind.

Please pray for Bro P and many others like him who are struggling in this aspect. We will share about these dear believers and their testimonies in more articles to come.

Hopefully, we will learn the meaning of “sacrifice” and “to follow Christ” from these believers who truly “seek ye first the kingdom of God” at all costs.

Over the last week I was privileged to take a couple trips to other places of interest in the northeast. As we drove across the land to our destination, I looked out upon miles and miles of well-manicured corn rows. No land is wasted; every square inch is used to grow something that is useful for living; very little if any land is left to grow just plain grass. Everything… Read More....

HE THAT DRINKS OF THE WATER THAT I GIVE HIM SHALL NEVER THIRST AGAIN!!! HEY!!!

That is my freedom! What is this searching in my life? What is this restlessness? What is this thirsting for something more? Jesus is all that I need.

I had a good last-time with Class A on Thursday. We played Jeopardy with a review of things we had studied. They make everything fun and hilarious!!! It’s hard to explain it – just little actions like J & M slapping the desk (part of the game) to answer at the exact same time. I can’t even remember the super-funny thing we were laughing about. It was so cute! So… Read More....
