Team building seminar and workshop

Fifty-four young people from Bohol, Cebu, Leyte, and Davao gathered to learn how to be effective Team Builders. Our Team Building Seminar with the theme ‘Workers Together with Christ’ was intended to deepen and build upon last year’s Servant Leadership Training. This year we learned that God was concerned with us being humble and Spirit-dependent people before we could be effective Team builders.

It was a busy week packed with many small group activities including drama presentations, unifying action songs, scripture memorization, prayer, devotions, and sharing times. Each group had its youngest member as the leader, with the rest of the group becoming that leader’s prayer support and encouragement in their important role as spiritual leader. The ones who were normally the followers learned to be leaders, and the ones who were normally leaders learned to be the humble and supportive followers that God wants them to be.

Each evening our evangelist Pastor Mike Redick preached on topics related to the Spirit filled life. Purity, knowing God’s will, Wanted dead and alive, who is the Holy Spirit to you, Christian relationships, Christianity 101.

On Thursday evening the Holy Spirit moved among us in a special way and touched many lives in a way that they never had been before. Definite decisions were made with visible and lasting changes.

Praise God for His mercy and grace!

There was the old grandma who was being cared for by her daughter and son. One day as I was reading my Bible, the daughter asked me about it and I told her what I was reading. She was excited and told me that she had one too and was a part of God’s family. I knew there was something different about her. She took such gentle care of her… Read More....

A few months ago I was thinking to myself, “I don’t have any real China stories.” A ‘China’ story is the kind that can only happen to you in China (of course) but really sets your time here apart from anything else you’ve experienced in your life; it’s something that you think, “I’ve never experienced anything like this!” and somehow it changes you. Well, it finally happened. After two years… Read More....
