This year, God opened a wide door to a new missions field which, until now, I have not had a chance to visit yet. It is a brand new work; it is in a largely unreached restricted access nation (RAN). And it is a dark place, filled with demon worship and black magic. The spiritual battle was intense.
I have been informed that I may have an opportunity to go to that city next month, but I’ll continue to commit this to the Lord and would not insist on going if the door’s obviously closed.
In a spiritual battle such as this one which we are now in, the best move for me… for us is not to go on that plane, not matter how cheap the airfare is, but to go on our knees.
The best place to be right now is not to be in that city, but in the place of prayer.
The best encouragement we can give to our front-liners right now is not to show up physically on their doorstep and say Hi, we’re here to support you! but to continually ask God, the great Comforter, to give them the peace that passeth all understanding.
To our brethren who wish to support missions and missionaries and are wondering how to do so – the very best support you can give them is to be informed about their needs and to pray for them. Prayer is the most powerful weapon we have as children of God! Be as wise as serpents in our responses to the challenges to support our missionaries. Talk to the pastors, or the ministry/missions leader who can advise about that particular mission field.
To the brethren who have been challenged by the testimonies from the team who just returned from Cambodia – please talk to the youth leader before going ahead to book your air ticket! Places are limited!

The shock of everything is now starting to sink in and the dust is starting to settle some.
The ultrasound specialist, after much trying, was finally able to see some of our unborn baby’s face and mouth and confirmed the cleft lip which is on the right side. She also said that she saw a gap in the hard palate which is the front of the mouth. It is… Read More....
There was the old grandma who was being cared for by her daughter and son. One day as I was reading my Bible, the daughter asked me about it and I told her what I was reading. She was excited and told me that she had one too and was a part of God’s family. I knew there was something different about her. She took such gentle care of her… Read More....
A few months ago I was thinking to myself, “I don’t have any real China stories.” A ‘China’ story is the kind that can only happen to you in China (of course) but really sets your time here apart from anything else you’ve experienced in your life; it’s something that you think, “I’ve never experienced anything like this!” and somehow it changes you. Well, it finally happened. After two years… Read More....

a fervent prayer from brethren is the best thing we in our home can do.
