* God's Provisions *

I hope Pastor Mike will forgive me for writing about this. It’s a story I find hard to forget even though it happened a few years ago, but he has told it several times to illustrate just one of many examples of God’s amazing provision for His missionaries.
A few years ago, Pastor Mike and his wife were both scheduled to go to Africa for netcasting and evangelism. He contacted his usual travel agent for booking and was told that the price of the airfare was $3,100.00. All was fine until the airtickets were booked and he was asked to pay for them. The travel agent told him to pay $6,200.00, and he almost fell backwards.
Hey wait, didn’t you say not long ago it was $3,100.00?
Yes, $3,100 for one person. $6,200 for both you and your wife.
Pastor Mike didn’t quite have the entire S$6,200.00. In fact, he only budgeted for $3,100 which he had mistakenly thought was a quote for two! So what did he do?
He didn’t know what to do. Then the travel agent, who is a Christian, suggested, Well, why don’t you pray and ask God to provide? Heheh, imagine the travel agent advising the flustered evangelist to pray! However, it was a good suggestion.
Without telling a single soul, and with just a few short days to go before the trip to Africa, he prayed to the Lord. And one weekday evening, in church for an event, someone slipped him an envelope of money. How much was it?
Well, I do not know, but he and his wife went on to Africa, and he certainly didn’t owe the travel agent a single cent. The Lord used them mightily in the ministry there.
Dear Family and Friends,
As always, time goes by so quick. The spring semester flew by and now I am in the process of moving to a new city. After the whirlwind of activities over the last few months, I finally have a few minutes to catch my breath before summer camp starts so I thought I’d take a moment to update you on how He is working… Read More....
School has begun! I started teaching on Monday of this week. I am teaching in the English department of my school and am very excited to be working with my students. I have loved all my students from year one to now but because these kids are English majors their English is a little better so we can discuss more in-depth topics and get to know each other a little… Read More....
Over the last week I was privileged to take a couple trips to other places of interest in the northeast. As we drove across the land to our destination, I looked out upon miles and miles of well-manicured corn rows. No land is wasted; every square inch is used to grow something that is useful for living; very little if any land is left to grow just plain grass. Everything… Read More....
