Evangelistic camping saves youth by the hundreds (1)

This entry is Part 1 of 2 in the series Evangelistic Camping
    Table Of Contents:

We experimented with the concept of holding camps for unsaved youths in Panay, Philippines. We started in Jan 2009, holding a camp a month. Each camp averaged about 100 youths and lasted 3-4 days.

The Wilds Camp of N Carolina, USA, helped train our counselors, Doane Baptist Church of Iloilo provided most of the key workers, and the pastors of local churches helped in these camps.

Here are some of the testimonies from the churches we partner with:

Testimony from Dingle Baptist Church - Thanks for the e-camp ministry that bring revival to our church and our youth ministry. Our church no longer had our youth ministry for sometime already but after we brought some unbelieving teens to the e-camp, they got saved and I did not realize that it was the start of the revival of our youth ministry.

The new believers teens were become an encouragement to the rest of our young people and they started to gather again on Sunday afternoons and have fellowship in studying God’s Word. Praise God for using e-camp not just to saved souls of these teens but also brought revival to our church.

San Enrique Baptist Church – Most of the churches had their youth fellowship every Sunday afternoon but we’re no longer had it in our own church. I thought the youth ministry of our church were totally vanished away but thank the Lord for using e-camp ministry to bring our youth ministry back to life.

Lately, instead of having AFC in the afternoon, we only do work or clean-up fellowship because it seems that there’s no youth that comes to church anymore. But after the 1st e-camp we joined in, things became different. Youth group were revived and most of the new believers were the ones who first to arrived in the church every Sunday. Some of these youth even walk for 3 km just to attend church.

I know that e-camp organizer spend so much resources every e-camp but I just want to let you know that our spending not only bring salvations to a lot of souls but also help a lot of churches like us. Praise the Lord for the e-camp ministry.

    Dear Family and Friends,

As always, time goes by so quick. The spring semester flew by and now I am in the process of moving to a new city. After the whirlwind of activities over the last few months, I finally have a few minutes to catch my breath before summer camp starts so I thought I’d take a moment to update you on how He is working… Read More....

School has begun! I started teaching on Monday of this week. I am teaching in the English department of my school and am very excited to be working with my students. I have loved all my students from year one to now but because these kids are English majors their English is a little better so we can discuss more in-depth topics and get to know each other a little… Read More....

Over the last week I was privileged to take a couple trips to other places of interest in the northeast. As we drove across the land to our destination, I looked out upon miles and miles of well-manicured corn rows. No land is wasted; every square inch is used to grow something that is useful for living; very little if any land is left to grow just plain grass. Everything… Read More....
