Evangelism campaign in Bohol

This entry is Part 4 of 7 in the series Philippines 2009 Campus Evangelism
evangelistic campaign in the campuses

evangelistic campaign in the campuses

Today (Sunday 19th) the team heads for Bohol where they begin the crusade on Monday! Bohol is a Romanist stronghold. The team needs extra aircover! Are you praying??

We are now heading back into another school year with many exciting developments and possibilities. Please especially pray for our evangelistic campaign in July/August. It will be held on the university campuses of five different islands.

Last year during the campaign we preached to 20,000 people. This year we are praying to double that to 40,000! We are praying that we can have ‘room to room’ evangelism inside the campus classrooms. This means asking the university president to sign a letter that grants us permission to freely enter any classroom on campus and use 20-30 minutes of class time to preach the gospel.

In the past years, only three of our five islands have been granted permission for this and only on some of their campuses. Please pray that God will open doors and give us favor in the eyes of the university presidents and administrators. This would enable us to preach the gospel in a short amount of time to many students that we may otherwise never meet.

We are also praying for God to touch these people that they would be fruit that remains, that goes on to serve Him with all their hearts. Please join us in prayer in this endeavour.

Prayer Requests:

Open doors and a fruitful Evangelistic Campaign in July/August.

The young people and pastors who made decisions at revival camp.

Our young professionals who have already graduated to be involved in the work of the ministry and support it financially.

Fruitful personal evangelism for the students and staff in the campuses

For Pastor Mike Redick as he develops a three-year discipleship programme for the campuses.

There was the old grandma who was being cared for by her daughter and son. One day as I was reading my Bible, the daughter asked me about it and I told her what I was reading. She was excited and told me that she had one too and was a part of God’s family. I knew there was something different about her. She took such gentle care of her… Read More....

A few months ago I was thinking to myself, “I don’t have any real China stories.” A ‘China’ story is the kind that can only happen to you in China (of course) but really sets your time here apart from anything else you’ve experienced in your life; it’s something that you think, “I’ve never experienced anything like this!” and somehow it changes you. Well, it finally happened. After two years… Read More....
