Church planting in Kuala Lumpur

This entry is Part 3 of 4 in the series Church Planting In Kuala Lumpur

The heart of Kuala Lumpur is like a mini-Asia melting-pot. It is a missionary’s dream place in Asia. It is as if God brought thousands from difficult-to-reach nations to this little patch of concrete to know God’s love.

Besides the thousands of foreigners, there are thousands of locals in this place. The majority come to shop but after the shops close late at night, hundreds more remain. They hang around and then sleep on the pavements and staircases. They are the homeless – the broke and broken, the dropouts, the addicts…

They are also the ones for whom Christ died. In fact, they have a special place in God’s heart and in His plan.

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen….” 1Cor 1:28

“….Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom…” James 2:5

Surely, this is one place in Asia where his missionaries must be to show God’s love and share the Gospel light!

She was excited and told me that she had one too and was a part of God’s family. I knew there was something different about her. She took such gentle care of her… Read More....

A few months ago I was thinking to myself, “I don’t have any real China stories.” A ‘China’ story is the kind that can only happen to you in China (of course) but really sets your time here apart from anything else you’ve experienced in your life; it’s something that you think, “I’ve never experienced anything like this!” and somehow it changes you. Well, it finally happened. After two years… Read More....
