Christmas in June

Pasko sa hunyo (Christmas in June) Children’s day June 6 2009 had been our children’s big day; which we had more than 400 children: but as those children are enjoying the day; there were not less than 10 children in a certain village who were not able to come and receive a gift.

They lived on the other side of the river; the water went up high that day so even our workers were not able to fetch them.

Philippines - Christmas In June

Children's Day; a day of fun and gifts, and the gift of God

10 Photos

Waiting for the time appointed. on July 7 a team of our workers start their journey to that certain village. (A village where there is no electricity and school for the children not even a Day Care school or kinder.)

And when they have reached the river, a group of children; at their excitement are already waiting at the river bank. And as they reach the village. Only these smiling and happy faces ease their tired feet for less than hour walk through forest and cliff.

A simple gift that brought this villager a joy; knowing that somebody cares. Yes somebody that cares not only for what they need physically but more of their souls. And through these simple gifts; the way had been open to us to share to them the gift that is eternal.(the bible study had been open in these area)

Isn’t it great? We had a clear illustration of God’s eternal gift, on how can they have it as free; like these boxes of gift; whom somebody unconditionally gave even they don’t know yet who are their recipient: So as the Lord gave eternal life to those who receives it..

May the Good ad faithful Lord rewards those people who willingly and unconditionally gave for the furtherance of the Gospel.

Now this is another area that had just open for children’s class and bible study every Saturday.

Almost 12 years already since I got saved, 10 years in full time ministry since bible college and 7 years as Pastor; yet I can tell; this is but a short period of time to understand further the ministry God hath entrusted to us.. There’s only one thing I’m certain He has a Gift to every one that believes ; but how shall they believed of whom they have not heard and how shall hear with out a preacher..

In most cases we have a preacher a teacher; and even a Pastor, evangelist. But why they will not hear them.…?

Because :They could hardly understand: the word Gift, unless you let them experience it; they could hardly understand what love is; unless you let them feel it; they could hardly believe that Jesus Really Cares ( the fact of their hand to mouth situation) ; unless you express it…

Jesus feed the hungry and heal the sick: and through this His marvelous works he was made known and people around the world ( ancient world) came… to hear the Gospel…? No..! but to be healed and be fed…yet through his healing and feeding ; he then preached to them:

I believe we can do likewise: through our feeding ministry: not only children’s are coming but most of the cases there mother are coming with them: and this gives us a way to led them into the saving grace of God..

Like in our children’s big day there were almost 100 parents came and most of them receives Jesus as their Lord and savior.

And a simple Gift giving like these that makes us a way to be welcomed in their village and community.

But when we went into their places with bible and Gospel tracts in your hand. They would even slam the door in our face.

May these wisdom God hath given us be used to extend His Kingdom; I believe more areas will e open and more home bible studies

My Prayer is that once in every three months we can have these children’s Big day event; and as the Lord Provides: May you join these request in your prayer.

The shock of everything is now starting to sink in and the dust is starting to settle some.

The ultrasound specialist, after much trying, was finally able to see some of our unborn baby’s face and mouth and confirmed the cleft lip which is on the right side. She also said that she saw a gap in the hard palate which is the front of the mouth. It is… Read More....

There was the old grandma who was being cared for by her daughter and son. One day as I was reading my Bible, the daughter asked me about it and I told her what I was reading. She was excited and told me that she had one too and was a part of God’s family. I knew there was something different about her. She took such gentle care of her… Read More....

A few months ago I was thinking to myself, “I don’t have any real China stories.” A ‘China’ story is the kind that can only happen to you in China (of course) but really sets your time here apart from anything else you’ve experienced in your life; it’s something that you think, “I’ve never experienced anything like this!” and somehow it changes you. Well, it finally happened. After two years… Read More....
