Early this year (2009) a team from the Wilds USA came to Doane to transmit the camping knowledge that they have employed in reaching many young Americans to the Lord. That was the birth of e-CAMP at Doane Church. The church is not a novice in the camping ministry having handled hundreds of Attracting students to bookstores: A typical bookstore in a Asian campus area needs to look clean and peaceful. It does not need to be fancy or expensive. It could have a café attached to it, selling affordable drinks and affordable snacks. Besides serving as a place to meet friends, Asian students often use a café as their Introduction Bookstores are going out of style in many developed countries as more and more reading material is available on the internet and more and more online purchases are made on the internet. Only a few major bookstore chains continue to survive in this new environment. Christian bookstores are fast disappearing in developed countries. The few remaining Our experience in Evangelistic camping: In July 2008 we experimented with our first Evangelistic camp in Panay, Philippines. We called it an E-camp. The results of that first E-camp was very encouraging. So we planned a series of regular monthly E-camps, starting from Jan 2009 till the present. So far over 800 people have attended these E-camps. According Introduction: Christian camping is usually associated with church groups. Historically evangelism is not a major focus of Christian camping. This is even more so in Asia where most Christian camping is for church members to enjoy some “rest, recreation and revival.” In Asia, the major reason why Christian camps do not focus on unsaved people is economic They made this schoolhouse themselves in 2 days.
