		<description><![CDATA[<p>One typhoon after another &#8211; Ketsana (Ondoy) was a tropical storm which drenched the Philippines with its heaviest rainfall in 40 years and flooded 80 percent of Manila.</p>
<p>A week later, Typhoon Parma killed several hundred people and destroyed over 50,000 homes. Then we braced for another typhoon &#8211; Lupit, and thankfully it veered away.</p>
